If someone is on the BRAT diet ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BRAT_diet ), would Matzo Ball Soup (vegetarian) be ok to eat?

I'd go with avgolemono or similar instead, because sometimes the matzo balls can be Too Much in that state.

If it's brat diet for vomiting, no, but for bowel issues, yes...matza binds.

Seems like Matzo Ball Soup fits the diet to me. Use a weak broth. Matzo and bread are pretty close from a fiber point of view. Broth (even meat based) has almost no fiber.

Of course if your GI issues are related to wheat....
