This morning I was planning on going to a geocaching brunch in the south bay, in honor of a local 'cacher's 50th birthday. I was up late last night and debated setting an alarm clock, as the brunch was from 9am-noon. But I've been running an odd sleep deficit - somehow lately I've been waking early a lot despite going to bed late - and I decided that if my body actually took the option of sleeping in for a change, I'd let it do that.

Woke at 9:40, so that seems to have been a good call. I also have my period, so my body's extra-tired, and I decided not to hurriedly shower and drive down to catch the last hour of it. I'm feeling more like hanging out around the house, doing projects at a slower pace, and conserving energy for this evening's social plans.

I've also been feeling like doing indoor stuff moreso than outdoor. There've been a couple of afternoons lately where I thought about inviting friends out geocaching - I could use the stretching of legs, and I'm 5 caches away from finding my 500th. But the Bay Area is having a bit of a cold snap, and I've been a bit sniffle-prone lately, and so I am glad that I've been honoring my body's desire to hibernate a bit.
