A night out

Tonight a bunch of us went to a really nice plus-sized womens' clothing swap that deedeebythebay hosted. I came home with 5 new shirts: a lichen-green button-down shirt of light material; a maroon short-sleeved shirt, a maroon turtleneck, a dark red tactile-happy velour shirt, and a black stripey sweater. I also had fun seeing some of my own nice-but-neglected clothing being taken away happily by other folks. Clothing swaps are awesome...

deedeebythebay and her husband coyote3502 coaxed me into coming along with them to a comedy benefit that was being held as a fundraiser for their middle daughter's second grade class, and I'm really glad I did - it was a fun time, both for their company and for the talent of the comedians and singers who performed. My favorite line of the evening was the double entendre for "uncut, extra cheese!" Raunch to spare...

I left emmett_the_sane a phone message telling him that I'd be home later than I originally thought, and right before the comedy show started I got the most endearing "have fun" message back from him, complete with this graphic display:



Awww - he held our kitty up to the phone with him! I was so happily aflutter to receive that!

After the comedy show, coyote3502 drove me back to where I'd parked my car near the clothing swap, and he left me off with a truly lovely good night kiss. Purrr...

And on my way back to the house I stopped off and got emmett_the_sane the Krispy Kreme donuts that he'd been broadly hinting his desire for when I left, and also some veggie burgerlesses from In-n-Out.
