A good beadwork potluck

Five women came over today for the quarterly SF Bay Beaders meeting, and we had a real nice time swapping beads, telling stories, and beading over yummy potluck food. I finished the necklace that Mom requested as a Mother's Day present - she has a similar one that I made for her in blue and gold, and she wanted a black and gold one in the same style. I decided that cats-eye stones would be a suitable interpretation of 'gold,' and here is what I came up with:
