I found to my surprise that I enjoyed the "fast waltz" even better than the slow waltz. The energy of it is a complete endorphin rush - whirling about the room as you circle around your dance partner. It goes too fast to concentrate on steps - so the "head" part is cast aside, and it is pure intuitive motion. I loved it. I was introduced to it by a very nice man who I didn't know, who came over to where a group of us were sitting and asked if anybody wanted to dance. "I do!" I was especially delighted that I had the stamina to keep up through the dances that I chose - I don't always, due to that spine malformation thing. But it wasn't acting up today, and while I didn't dance every dance, I didn't have to drop out early from the ones that I started. I think I'll start going there lots...
