Halfway home...

...and making good time. I did the 320-mile stretch from Portland Or through the Siskiyou Pass to Yreka, CA in 4.5 hours - amazing what clear weather and daytime visibility will do for your driving progress. It's a pretty day, with glorious volcano views, and I am enjoying my ride. I am eating a very yummy vegan blueberry muffin that twylightdove made.

And I miss every single one of the Portland folks - most especially Arnold. Leaving was hard, and I will have to come back soon. But I am also looking forward to seeing the folks back home.

Ok, back on the road again! Home 'round 6pm, if the driving rate holds.

Home safely

Got home right at 6pm as predicted :-) So, 9.5 hour trip between Portland and Oakland, with the .5 being the sole stop, in Yreka. That's definitely an improvement on the 12.5 hours it took on the way up!
