Conifers at twilight
Aug. 3rd, 2006 08:51 pmIt's a pretty evening here in southwest Oregon... the sky is palest blue with a hint of blush, and the mountains are rippled in layers of gray. We've got the Indigo Girls' dusky deep-voiced serenades going on the tape player, and our bellies are happily sated on healthy Thai food from our recent stop in Ashland. ("Do you think they deliver?" quipped

As the emphasis on this trip is to meet some of their chosen family, I won't get to see all of my own dear northwest friends on this trip, so please forgive me if I am passing through without stopping in to say hello. It would take a full week to even begin to touch base with everyone who I'd like to see up here. But I've begun a habit of taking the first week in January up in Portland each year, so hopefully I will get to make a more thorough visit then.
Back to drowsing pleasantly over a Rita Mae Brown mystery...
