...this time, to Portland. I'm getting a somewhat later start than intended, but on the other hand I got a good night's sleep and had a restful morning, and that's a good way to begin a trip.
Back next Tuesday, give or take a day depending on how the Siskiyou Pass is doing. Today, it's clear.
Swapped out travel bugs in an olive grove in Corning, CA, about 167 miles along my route. Enjoyed a lunch of artichoke hearts and pesto tortellini from Granzella's deli in Williams. Pretty day out, with lots of soft new grasses.
Hi from Mt. Shasta City, where I just watched the moon rise over the snow-covered volcano. Earlier, found a cache in Redding, along the dry banks of a pretty creekbed.
200 or so miles to go. Siskiyou pass was clear and dry. Listening to oldies on the radio, and making much quicker time now that I'm not stopping to 'cache as much... ;-)
