I seen the lights go down at Safeway...

Well, whee... we just had the first blackout of the season. Our whole hillside went dark for a few hours. With rather little provocation, I might add... there was a small rainshower, but nothing like the 60 mph ocean gusts that usually do us later in the rainy season.

emmett_the_sane lit some candles, and we played palm-pilot Scrabble in bed together 'til the lights came back on.

Earlier, we went out to dinner at Pasta Moon in Half Moon Bay with Emmett's parents. It's a nice restaurant... I had butternut squash ravioli in walnut sauce for dinner, and passionfruit parfait for dessert. Oh, the parfait was something else... soft sugary burnished meringue atop tangy sorbet, with a fruity caramel thread running through the whole. Delicious!

Am pleasantly drowsy now... LJ I think, and then bed. Yawn...

The other dessert that I was eying was a pumpkin cheesecake mousse, with pumpkin-cherry compote over the top, and a cornmeal crust.

I ate a lot of pizza late and crashed early. Just woke up again a few minutes ago, not even remotely hungry.
