My mother is habitually early...

... and apparently the universe conspires to keep her that way.

So she's en route from JFK to OAK, cruising presently over Chicago at an altitude of 30,200 feet.

Her plane's scheduled arrival time is 12:45pm. So, I carefully arranged this morning's schedule - appointment at 9:30am, appointment at 10:30am, leave office in SF at 11:45am and get to OAK in time to meet her flight at 12:45pm.

Except... her flight is now due in at 11:54am.

On the bright side, she'll be all done with that baggage claim thing by the time I get there...

See, when I fly cross-country, I don't arrive early. When I fly cross-country, my airline goes out of business! :)

This has nothing to do with your mother being early. I noticed you friended me, and had two things to say: 1) Why? Not in I can't imagine why, just curiousity. and 2) I'm willing to friend you back but need to make sure you know ahead of time that I'm insane and that all goes in the friends filter. If that's OK with you, then I'll add you.
