Another Preia oops:

She attempted to jump from the swivel-chair to the shelf above the computer desk. A keyboard was on the shelf, with about 1" of it jutting out past the edge of the shelf. She didn't manage to clear the keyboard, and instead caught the jutting part of it with her front claws. Dangled there for a few moments, and then down crash both Preia and keyboard, into (of course) Emmett's bowl of leftover vegetable jalfrezi. Result: vegetable jalfrezi all over cat, keyboard, and (of course) carpet. *White* carpet.

The cat didn't even wait for our reaction, and just zoomed into the bathroom (where she gets sent when she does something wrong) all by herself. And hid in her litter box, 'til it became clear that we were laughing too hard to scold her.

If we replaced it with anything, it would be wood paneling... easier to clean and less allergen-hosting. But money and renter's status prevents that. The white *is* pretty... when it isn't speckled with vegetable jalfrezi, or pomegranate lemonade fizz, or...

Good thing for the cat that we're vegetarian ;-)

It's all cleaned up now, and the cat has lost her "in the doghouse" look, and is looking for new mischief to get into.

it's so cute when they do that. one night i was awoken by frantic wailing from the living room and went out to find iceberg dangling from the top of the vertical blinds by his claws. he'd taken a flying leap, missed, and caught the edge, and couldn't quite let go...
