Life's laughter
Aug. 23rd, 2002 11:20 pmHi all,
So, yesterday's chaos-laden trip to Berkeley ended up being kinda unnecessary. The book that I picked up did not turn out to be needed this week; the phonecall that distracted me from giving Emmett proper directions onto the highway wasn't something that needed so rapid a follow-up either.
But we did get some nearly-New-York-like pizza, and we managed to support each other through a time when we could easily have been hurling blame back and forth, and that's at least worth a couple of points.
Today's been good, if a bit overbooked. Work went real well; I felt good about how all five of my sessions with my clients went. And I got to take an advocacy/activist stance in a crisis situation, making good use of that professional authority thing.
Now to eat purple and orange ice cream with Emmett :-)
Sweet dreaming,
Geri
