Visiting the Sunset
Aug. 24th, 2002 10:02 pmSo, today Emmett and I went to visit a new friend, Chris, who lives in the Sunset district. We played Scrabble and Settlers of Catan and Set, and she cooked a wonderful Thai peanutty vegetable and tofu dish for lunch, followed dessertwise by a savory plum cake with browned sugar topping. Mmmm!
After gaming we went for dinner, at a vegetarian Chinese food near her place. More yummies, amidst a dazzling plethora of menu options (I'm not used to having so many *choices* on menus, given the usual proportions of non-veg to veggie foods in most restaurants).
It was a warm, fun day. We did stay later than we meant to. I was envisioning an *afternoon* of gaming, arriving home when I still had focused interneurons available to devote to various projects. But the gaming was just lots of fun, and then it was dinnertime, and now here we are home at 10:00pm. I've given Emmett a heads-up that I'm going to be in serious "don't bug me" project mode all day tomorrow, with the exception of sharing in some housecleaning that Needs To Happen.
