This was even more special because it was the first time that we were back at La Fondue in several months. Emmett was having some adverse reactions to both chocolate and wine for a while, and he has been slowly easing both back into his menu after half a year's abstinence. So we'd avoided going to La Fondue until he could handle both - and I'm happy to say that it looks like he can. Yay! I'd missed that place, and it is wonderful to be able to share the site of our first formal date together again.
We had some really good reconnect time there, full of deep talks and loving kisses between nibbles of delicacy.
Afterwards we went to a surprisingly lovely hotel near where he works - surprisingly because it has so much beauty and so many amenities for what is essentially a Motel 6 price. My favorite parts were the flower-lavished villa-style walkways, the big comfy bed, and the jacuzzi tub, which we had a beautiful soak in this morning before we headed off to work.
Today is a lightly-scheduled one for me workwise, so I get to just be languid now and luxuriate in the happy vibes and memories of it all. Thanks for a beautiful date, cher... and here's looking forward to many more.

Date: 2004-07-13 01:07 pm (UTC)That pause and reflect is a blessing though isn't it? I was gifted with a two night stay out in Halfmoon Bay as a wedding treasure by my dear ex-laws (they will also be hosting the child at their place in LaLaLand as part of the gift). There is not time or money for a real honeymoon, so when I am somewhat more recovered from all this time under the knife I hope to take time and breath the sea at and do the same.
Thank you for sharing your goodnesses with us.
