Evening all,

I am not the "shopping" sort, but every now and then the urge hits. Today I needed to pick up stockings and leggings, and the errand turned into an all out spree. And the idea of shopping was certainly more appealing than the idea of going in and catching up on paperwork at work.

I'm happy with my purchases. I shopped for casual stuff: bright colored shirts, comfortable pants. I all ready had office stuff, and biking stuff, and out-on-the-town-stuff, but not so much in the way of "sit around playing Settlers with friends on a Saturday" stuff.

So for $190 I got 6 shirts, 4 pants, and 5 pairs of stockings. One of the shirts-pants combos is actually good enough for work, too, so that's a nice surprise, to have a new work outfit into the bargain. It's a sleeveless turtleneck in dark gray, with black pants that flare slightly at the ankle to go with it. Add some earrings and my copper wirework agate/peridot/citrine necklace, and it's set.

I did go in and catch up on a bit of paperwork after that, but didn't stay too long. Also vacuumed the car, after deciding that $129 was just too much to pay for auto detailing and my car could wait a while to get *pristine.*

Tonight Emmett and Ellie and I went for Nepalese food in Albany CA, near Berkeley - it was Ellie's first time trying that cuisine, and she liked it lots. We had eggplant stew, bean stew, mustard greens, rice, nan, vegetable dumplings with pungent carrot sauce, mung bean pancakes, lentil soup, and cinnamon lassi to drink. (Well, Emmett's lassi was banana). Heaven!

And bed is sounding really good right now.

Sweet dreams,
Geri
