Emmett got a six-week temp job in Santa Clara county, of the 9-5 variety. My work is more often noon-8pm, so we'll be seeing each other mostly in bed and on weekends during February. I'm ecstatic that he has the job - between that and some other potential paid projects, finances are looking slightly more optimistic. Still mostly on a tight budget, but he *is* gonna take me out to dinner this weekend to celebrate :-) Purrr...
Speaking of purrs, the Preia-cat got her one remaining stitch taken out at the vet's today (she'd chewed out the others) and was pronounced healed. Major relief. It was a far easier appointment, for her and for me, than the last one - we were there no more than 5 minutes, and I was able to distract her with a small tupperware of

And I am glad that Preia came through with flying colors. Though hmmm..need to try the sour cream on my cat. Maybe worth a stop on the way home. Trader Joe's makes a cat treat that is like crack for my cat. She goes nuts for them.
