I just posted this in the weekly [livejournal.com profile] photochallenge, and then thought to post it here, too:

Shadows on the River Seine

It's a picture I took at 15, along the river Seine. I love the water colors and lights!

Because you are an LJ friend of [livejournal.com profile] kenhighcountry and [livejournal.com profile] eleanor, because you have a gray cat, because you are a psychologist, and because I like your face, I am adding you to my regular and irregular lists of people whose LiveJournals I read, and who I put on all (three) of my lists of people who read my various LiveJournal posts. I look forward to seeing you around. dab

I kept going back and looking at this picture, I really love it. What a talented photographer you are, and at 15.

I'm sorry to hear about your grandfather, I do hope that he recovers. My thoughts are with you.

Keep taking pictures.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you like the photograph. I grew up with a love of taking pictures, ever since the very first Polaroid I took of my parents in front of the castle at Disneyworld when I was 6.

And thanks as well for the well-wishes for my Grandfather's recovery.

I have hankered after the lure of photography but I do believe you either have the gift or you don't. I remember seeing an exhibition of a little girl who had taken photographs, when you told me about Disneyland that's what I thought of. Photography is just a wonderous medium, and what I liked about that photograph was that it was sureal but you could see exactly what was what, as well as sinking beneath the sea and enjoying it on another level.
