Better news...

So we got the cheering news today that Grandpa is mostly able to breathe without the respirator again, 4-5 days after his heart attack. This is progress! The hospital staff did show him the get-well fax that my cousin Lauren and I sent him, which is good... this way he knows that we are thinking of him. He still isn't able to talk on the phone though.

Thanks so much for all of your well-wishes... they helped lots!

I'm just getting caught up on LJ but you have my sympathies. I'm glad to hear he has been taken off the respirator; that's a good sign.
