paper shredders can be cathartic...
Sep. 16th, 2002 08:58 pmHi all,
Well, I've had an efficient couple of days, and the satisfaction of seeing numerous items knocked off the long-procrastinated to-do list. Score one for my brain's willingness to devote itself doggedly to boring administrivia. Which hasn't made it a very interesting couple of days, and I hope to devote myself to the more fun stuff forthwith.
The home paperwork has been going reasonably well, but at work, I feel like I've been racing an ever-accelerating snowball and losing. I did 7 hours of paperwork at work today, and I came in really thinking that I'd get most of the way through the pile of it, but 2 of the tasks stretched out into far more complexity than I'd imagined. At least I was able to cross a few things off...
Ok, enough on paperwork.
Emmett's been on a cooking spree. Our kitchen has been graced with yummy veggie lasagne and also zucchini tempura this weekend. He also got me to make some hummus, with a little sundried tomato pesto added in for extra flavor. And garlic. Lots of garlic.
Of course, his major talent lies in the concoction of soft drinks, including a flavorful raspberry lemonade sour fizz and a purple Filipino ube ice cream soda.
Here's another in the "incredibly cute kitten" series, of Preia dozing blissfully in Emmett's lap. At 5 weeks old, there's way more lap than cat, but if the size of her older sister is any indication, she is likely to grow into a very *large* critter.
