I dunno. On the one hand, I'm pretty pissed about it and have this "don't want the bastards to get away with it" mood going. On the other hand, I don't want to rush into thing, especially if it is (or will appear to be) motivated partly by a "retaliation for what they did to Clinton" mindset.

That is, Bush may well deserve this and I don't think Clinton did, but I really don't want a pattern where each president from now on gets impeachment proceedings started against him or her by the other party.

What I do want is for the voters to fucking well remember it and deal with it a little over a year from now.

I was actually not even so much THINKING about Clinton per se...it was more of a "hello, if they can start impeachment proceedings for lying, then this is a good example of a good time to do this." Yanno?

I mean, face it...most of the people *I* talked to who were pro-war were CONVINCED there were WMD in Iraq, based on Powell's speech if nothing else. Ergo, they were lied to. Me, I was never convinced; I was fairly sure it was a lie. But if presidents are to be impeached for lying...there ya go.
