I liked the looks of the leaf in this nice woodland floor picture from the VanDusen gardens... and I didn't even notice the little slug meandering its way through the picture until [livejournal.com profile] emmett_the_sane pointed it out :-) Can you find it?

I like how these pink petals funnel inwards.

This is the perfect mirror-surface pond in the VanDusen garden... I love the symmetry.

Not as sharp a photo as I would have liked, but the colors were too much fun to leave out. I like the striping of the petals, too.

I like the simplicity and calm of this one.

We were driving south from Whistler when we passed this wonderfully blue-black stream, and I just had to pull over to photograph it. I don't think I ever saw a stream before where the water was this blue.

I like the crispness of these twin purple fancies.

Here are my Great-Aunt Chippie and my Mom, in a Chinese garden in Vancouver.

And I like the geometricity of those maroon leaves, as well as the green petaling along their edges.

That's all for my Vancouver/Whistler pics, but [livejournal.com profile] emmett_the_sane has a few pretty ones that he plans to post as well :-)

That's a big slug, there also seems to be a snail shell, though may be empty underneath one of the leaves.

Thank you yet again for sharing your vision with us all. I spent a day at those awesome gardens a number of years ago and keep trying to plan a trip back. You images remind me why and give me taste to help during the waiting.
I see your slug. I have a set of photographs, no where near as lovely as yours (our camera is very low end but serves our needs and wallet size for now), that have a hidden someone in then as well. I think this is my son's favorite page on our website http://www.farmount.net/hiddenbutterfly.htm.
